The Brief: Bring SPAR’s Summer Moments campaign to life with an A.F. Blakemore twist spotlighting fresh food and BBQ strengths to drive footfall, awareness and brand consideration, while boosting retailer pride and local buzz during peak summer.


The Insight: 75% of British men are the main BBQ operators, yet 1 in 8 experience mental health challenges.

The BBQ, a summer staple became the perfect setting to encourage real conversations and connection.

The Idea: SPARk A Conversation,  a purpose-led, community campaign using summer BBQs to raise men’s mental health awareness. Through local activations, media engagement and retailer involvement, SPAR turned everyday summer moments into meaningful opportunities to talk, connect and support one another.
